“Allison helped us in preparation with our first baby. She was so great about getting us information that we needed and preparing us for what we would be walking into for our delivery. Allison told us how to advocate for ourselves and our baby during our appointments leading up to delivery and during our hospital stay. She was always very attentive and quickly responded when we had questions. We really appreciated her openness and communication during our pregnancy, delivery, and after birth!.”

“Allison helped me in preparation for my 4th child. She is incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. She put her whole heart into caring for me with lots of helpful suggestions and techniques to get me through labor all while following my specific birth plan to a T. She will be your advocate but also your friend. She is wonderful and I can’t recommend her enough!”

“Allison is an amazing birthing doula! My c section was very traumatic for me she held my hand through it all, & still made sure everything went my way! She supported me as a friend plus a doula! You will not be disappointed with Allison!”

“Allison was an incredible doula to work with for my first pregnancy and birth. She took the time to get to know me and my goals beforehand. It was a huge relief to both my husband and myself to have someone in our corner with so much knowledge and experience, so that we didn't feel like we had to know everything. Allison checked in on me frequently before and after the birth. Anytime I had specific questions about topics that impacted me, she would research them and recommend positions, exercises, advice, etc. Although my goal of having an natural and unmedicated birth did not pan out this time, Allison was still incredibly supportive and helpful in navigating pain management options and helping me have the best birth experience I could. She literally held my up leg for two hours while I was pushing! I felt like she would have done anything for me. Would highly recommend!”

“Allison attended my second home birth. I was looking forward to having a doula because I had back labor during my last pregnancy and couldn't get comfortable or relax.
Allison talked over these concerns with me and wrote out some exercises to practice as well as podcasts to listen to. Between the first meeting and the planned 38th week appointment she regularly checked in to see how I was doing or if I needed anything.
Before our 38 week appointment I ended up going into labor. Allison responded quickly to a 2am text that my water broke and checked in on progress. When contractions started around noon she stayed in contact until I told her that I couldn't manage contractions on my own and needed her assistance.
She jumped right into action asking my husband to get the birthing ball and a bowl of ice. She showed him how to jiggly my hips, give a hold, and suggested some positions.
Given Allison's help I was far more comfortable during this birth and baby came quickly after she arrived.
Unfortunately baby was in respiratory distress so Allison took on additional roles to help the safety and care. She called for EMS and stayed behind to help the midwives after baby was transferred to the hospital.
I'll end by saying that baby is home and doing well. Allison was a much needed part of the team and I'm very grateful for her and the services she provided!”
